7 Benefits of Extended In-Home Pet Sitting
- 1. Most pets are social creatures and want human company and interaction.
- 2. Shy or scared pets become accustomed to the Pet Sitters' presence and may come out of hiding.
- 3. Pets do not feel pressured to quickly eat, drink, or potty to accommodate someone else’s work schedule.
- 4. Slower-paced eating and drinking reduces air gulping, which can lead to choking, vomiting, or other medical issues.
- 5. A companionship forms between the pet and the Pet Sitter, building a relationship of trust and security for those pets who may experience separation anxiety.
- 6. Pets enjoy longer play time or walks, allowing them to release more energy and stimulate their brains.
- 7. Pets requiring medication or insulin injections are monitored for a longer period for signs of distress or complications.
