the perk of being small and/or snub-nosed!

Puppies and kittens over 8 weeks of age, small dogs and cats weighing less than 18 lbs, and snub-nosed breeds reap the benefits of this speedy airport-to-airport service.

Snub-nose is a term used to indicate a shorter than normal snout. This shorter snout has a decreased oxygen intake than the normal size snout and makes it more difficult for the pet to cool down. The shorter snout makes these breeds more susceptible to air quality and temperature changes. It’s for these reasons most airlines will not fly these breeds in cargo.

preparing for take off!

Our Pet Nanny will meet you at the origination airport and fly with your pet to the destination airport. At the destination airport, the Transporter will meet at the Baggage Claim area and deliver your pet into the care of the family. If a home pickup or delivery is preferred, this can be arranged for an additional fee.

The Pet Carrier

A soft-sided, airline-approved carrier will be provided for your pet and will remain with the Pet Nanny at the end of the transport. If you are meeting your pet at the airport, please bring a pet carrier for safe transport home.

Airlines follow the USDA mandate of pets traveling in crates, including soft-sided carriers, having adequate room to sit, turn around, and lay down in their natural position. If your pet does not have adequate room, the airline will deem the pet too large to fly in the cabin of the airplane. Your pet will then need to be ground transported to its destination, possibly incurring additional fees or taken home from the origination airport.

Experienced In-Cabin Pet Nanny

Our Pet Nannies are experienced in successfully navigating pets safely and securely through TSA security checkpoints.  TSA security requires pets to be removed from carriers prior to scanning. As a safety precaution, cats will only be removed from their carrier inside a private TSA screening room. After the carrier has been scanned by TSA, your cat will be placed back in the carrier.
